Well the 2012 Member/Guest is off to a soggy start. After such an extended amount of time without rain, the rain falling now brings mixed emotions. We had the condition of the golf course exactly where we wanted it. Now we'll adjust our schedule accordingly. In this profession you know that their are aspects that can be controlled and some that cannot, the weather is one.
This morning our schedule was perfect. Half of our staff came in at 3:30am to mow fairways, collars and approaches. The second half arrived at 5:30am to rake bunkers, mow greens and set the course. Just as we were wrapping up the rain began to fall. A big "thank you" to our General Manager, Mr. Anthony Chelena, for providing our staff with breakfast this morning! It was a great surprise!
