After fighting weather delays our spring combination of core aerification and dry ject on the greens is complete!  Core aerification removes organic material creating a channel for sand to be brushed in.  This process only penetrates the green 2.5"deep.  The dry ject uses high pressure water and air to inject sand up to 6" deep into the cavity of the green.  Both of these processes aid in water infiltration, air movement, and plant rooting.  Our staff worked many laborious hours, and once again they rose to the occasion.
Here's a stat.  With the dry ject we put 25 tons of sand into the greens.  Nine staff members physically carried 5 gallon buckets full of sand to keep the three machines operating, three staff per machine.  So, each staff member carried roughly 5,500 lbs of sand each.
