If you played golf today, you probably smelled some strange odors floating through the air. Our paving contractor was on site applying fresh asphalt, and we were applying an organic poultry waste fertilizer to the fairways and approaches. Both have a very distinctive odor and yielded numerous comments from the membership.
The paving contractor hopes to complete our work tomorrow, weather permitting. The fertilizer we applied is more like a soil conditioner that will aid our soil biology, creating a more vigorous plant.
