As we get deeper into the heart of winter, frost delays are becoming more and more common. Fortunately, our area has only experienced one real cold snap this year. It is our goal to get players onto the course as soon as possible following a frost delay. In addition it is also our goal to protect the golf course from injury that could occur by allowing play out to early. During a frost delay we are in constant communication with the Golf Shop. Typically, the driving range, upper putting green, and the chipping area will open first allowing players to hit a few balls prior to the course opening. Below is a great video from the USGA regarding frost delays.
