It's been a while since the last post, and our staff have been keeping busy on the golf course. Motivation to get onto the course in the morning has been a bit slow lately due to single digit temperatures in the morning when we arrive. So, an extra cup of coffee has been needed. The cold weather and frozen ground has shifted our direction a bit. Below are a few items of interest.
Frozen ground is perfect for dropping larger trees. A number of trees have been removed due to their age and deteriorating health.
All landscaping beds, waterways, and natural areas have been trimmed and cleaned up.
A request from the gallery was a walk bridge over the creek leading to the 14th green.
Various forms of spraying techniques have been used to spray Roundup and Princep on the bermudagrass surrounding the greens and on the fairways. This is helping to clean up any unwanted turf and weeds. Notice the Hazmat logo. A staff with a sense of humor is an added benefit.
