The hazy shade of winter

34

The last two weeks have been interesting.  From freezing rain to dry power snow, Mother Nature has given us a grab bag of winter weather.  Needless to say our staff has cleared a lot of snow and ice and stayed close to home, the shop.  I want to personally brag about my staff for a minute.  The system they have developed for removing snow and creating a safe environment for members to visit the Club is outstanding. They are efficient and organized, and I have enjoyed working along side them.  I'd also like to mention the help we received from members of the Golf Shop staff.  Just another example of the teamwork mentality around here.

The snow and ice put a stop to our tree work on the course, and we were forced inside. There always comes a time when the project list around the shop evaporates, and you lean on your staff, brainstorming for projects.  Fortunately, we came up with some good ones allowing us to stay productive.  It looks like seasonal temperatures will return next week allowing us, and golfers, back onto the course.
